SARTEC K-9 Unit is a dedicated, all-volunteer search and rescue team based in Madison County, North Alabama. Specializing in land search operations, the unit utilizes a variety of highly trained, certified dogs for air scent, trailing, and Human Remains Detection (HRD) work. The Unit responds to a wide range of emergencies, including missing persons searches in wilderness, urban, disaster, and collapsed building environments. The team is committed to helping locate both living and deceased individuals. SARTEC K-9 Unit does not work felony apprehension searches.
WHERE WE GO
Although SARTEC K-9 is based in Madison County, North Alabama, the unit is fully equipped and capable of responding to search and rescue operations outside of this area at the request of local, state, or federal first responder agencies. Their flexibility and expertise ensure that they can support communities in need.
